Often these emotions can be overwhelming. For this reason people can feel isolated or alone which can make finding support difficult. My approach to therapy is to encourage and support you in finding what is needed in your life now. I do this by being genuine, in the moment, and attentive to the individual needs of my clients.
My areas of interest are supporting clients to work through depression, anxiety, anger, self esteem/acceptance, weight issues, life change and stress.
Life can feel overwhelming at times. I know from personal experience that the first step of asking for help can be difficult. It can take courage to want more from our relationships and our lives. Let me be a support to you in your process.

As we journey through life, unfair things happen. The painful memories create a sense of burden and influence future expectations. While we can't change the past, it is under our control to change the way we look at what happened. As challenging events and relationships unfold, we can control how we respond. We do this by becoming more aware of automatic negative reactions and replacing them with healthier thoughts, feelings and behaviours. My goal as a Psychotherapist is to help you identify and transcend elements of your life story that keep you trapped in a cycle where the same types of people and situations continually recur.
The first step in healing is recognition that your past may be influencing you in ways that you may not even understand. You may have self-limiting beliefs and feel that you are "stuck." Regardless of what happened, it is never too late to let go of your suffering, to transform your life and embrace a future filled with things that seem out of reach.
Special interests include emotional difficulties due to: mood disorders, abuse, untreated trauma, racialized trauma, academic/career/workplace issues, chronic illness, disabilities, discrimination, oppression and legal system involvement. It is my role to create a safe space for you to begin the transformative process of rising like a phoenix from the ashes.

Gina Miranda graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA, and continued her education at the Transformational Arts College of Spiritual and Holistic Training, where she studied Transpersonal Psychotherapy. She has also completed Past-Life and Bardo State Regression therapy certification at the Transformational Arts College.
Gina is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She works with clients at Physiomed Van Mills, in Mississauga, Complete Balance Health Centre in Etobicoke, and at Healing Therapy Alliance in Toronto. She has completed Level 1 training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Relational Somatic Psychotherapy, and EMDR training. She is currently completing Level 2 Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Relational Somatic Psychotherapy. She is covered under most extended health benefit plans and issues receipts that are insurance approved.
She is also a certified Reiki Master. Her Philosophy is that mind, body, and spirit need to be integrated for us to find peace and she uses this approach to help her clients discover and unify the various parts of themselves into the whole. She uses a variety of modalities to achieve this from traditional talk therapy to somatic psychotherapy and energy work. She helps her clients track their own patterns and become mindful of their triggers and emotions. She teaches them to be more compassionate towards self and others, integrate their new awareness of self and become more consciously responsive.
